Site-Fit & Placement Plan: Delivery Done Right
You text us a few quick photos of your driveway or yard and we mark up where the truck can reasonably go, and any visible issues like tight turns, wires, or trees. You get a simple placement plan so delivery day is predictable instead of 'let's hope it fits,' while still respecting local placement rules and HOA limits.
The goal: No delivery day surprises. No unexpected fees. No placement problems.
Container Sizes & Space Requirements
Different container sizes have different footprints. Here's what each needs:

Critical Site Assessment Factors
Straight Clearance for 40-Foot Containers
You need at least 100 linear feet of straight clearance to unload using a 40-foot tilt trailer. This is the distance the truck needs to approach, position, and lower the container safely.
Critical: 100+ linear feet of straight, clear path is required for 40' containers.
Access Width
The truck carrying the container is 8-9 feet wide. Can it get down your driveway, around corners, or through a gate? Narrow passages are the #1 delivery blocker.
Minimum width needed: 10-11 feet for safe passage.
Overhead Clearance
Power lines, tree branches, roof overhangs—anything above 9-10 feet can block delivery. The truck and its boom arm extend upward.
Minimum height: 11-12 feet for safe placement.
Ground Condition
Soft ground, mud, or unprepared soil can cause the container to sink or the truck to get stuck. Most locations need compacted ground or a crushed stone base.
Best: concrete pad. Good: compacted gravel. Risky: soft dirt.
Level Positioning
A slightly sloped site is fine, but extreme slopes cause containers to lean. Doors won't seal properly. Water runs inside.
Acceptable slope: less than 2-3 degrees. Adjust with shims if needed.
Truck Turnaround Space
The delivery truck needs room to position itself for lowering. A tight corner lot might make unloading impossible. We need adequate space for the truck to approach and position from multiple angles.
Minimum: clear maneuvering space for truck positioning.
Utility Locations
Underground gas, water, or electric lines can't be punctured during ground prep. We need to know where utilities are located before we recommend a placement spot.
Always call 811 (in US) to mark underground utilities.

We gather information about your property: dimensions, access points, obstacles, ground type. This can be done via photos, measurements you provide, or (for large orders) an in-person visit.
Site Evaluation
We assess feasibility: Can the truck access your property? Is there adequate clearance above? Does the ground need prep? Are there utility concerns?
Placement Recommendations
We recommend the best spot for your container and note any prep work needed. We identify cost factors: fees, ground prep, crane extensions, etc.
Cost Transparency
All site-related costs are disclosed upfront. Ground prep fees, extended crane reach fees, utility location charges—included in your final quote, no surprises.
Scheduled Delivery
Once you approve, we schedule delivery with confidence. The driver knows exactly where to place the container, what clearances to expect, and whether any prep is needed. No day-of surprises.
